At the heart of Sundarī Rāsa is the bindu — the golden point at the center of the Śrī Cakra, where the many meet the One. It is the still point from which form emerges and to which it returns.
Our name carries this movement
SUNDARĪ is Beauty — not simply as appearance, but as the essential quality of life.
RASA is its felt experience: the taste, essence, or sweetness that remains when something true has touched us.

This is why the bindu appears throughout what we create—from our garments to our printed materials and website. More than a mark, it is a quiet invitation to return: to center, to presence, to Beauty.
Each time your eye meets it, it asks:
Have you returned to center?
Have you returned to Beauty?
Can you taste it?
She is patient. She will wait for us to come back a thousand times, and ask these same tender questions each time.
Our garments are one expression of this. Through them, craftsmanship, story, practice, and everyday life are woven together, creating pieces to be lived in, practiced in, gathered in, and passed on.

Community Development
began with a vision
to bring the beauty, craftsmanship, and living spirit of the devotional path into contemporary form.
Through relationships with artisans in India, the first collections emerged, and with them, the foundations of a wider community.
Sara and Leslie joined Aude during the formative life of the project, each bringing a distinct dimension to its becoming. Sara’s complementary creative language helped shape the visual, experiential, and expressive world of Sundarī Rasa, while Leslie brought a grounding capacity for building community and cultivating partnerships, helping create the structures through which the work can grow, connect, and endure.
Together, Aude, Sara, and Leslie steward Sundarī Rāsa as partners — their work moves through different forms, yet continually returns to the same center.
Around them is a wider constellation of women, artisans, teachers, collaborators, and community members. Anna Haber and Michelle Speckler have each been part of its unfolding, bringing their own gifts to the weave.
We come from different generations, cultures, disciplines, and ways of life. mothers and lovers, teachers and students, artists and devotee. each a different expression of the same love.
And this is how we hope Sundarī Rāsa continues to grow: not through expansion for its own sake, but from the center outward—finding new hands, new communities, and new forms while remaining rooted in what first called it into being.
